2020 VIRA ISLAND RACE SERIES SCHEDULE

All races start at 11:00 am except Harriers Pioneer 8k which starts at 11:30 am.
Early start available at:
     Cobble Hill 10k, Cedar 12K, Port Alberni 15K, TriStarsSooke 10K  (10:30 am)
     Comox Valley RV Half Marathon (10:00 am)

***** IMPORTANT: LIABILITY INSURANCE POLICY SPECIFICALLY COVERS RUNNERS ONLY.
THEREFORE, THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT ALLOWED:
DOGS, ROLLERBLADES, STROLLERS, BABY-JOGGERS, WHEELCHAIRS & SKATEBOARDS.
FOR SAFETY REASONS WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT RUNNERS AND WALKERS DO NOT USE EARBUDS. 

Contact information goes out to all CVRR members a few days ahead of each race. Please arrange to carpool before the day of the race.
Meeting place:  Old Safeway gas bar parking lot near Starbucks the corner of Cliffe and 17th
When:  Please arrive 5-10 min. early as the cars will leave promptly. Need to bring money to pay the driver.

January 12    Harriers Pioneer 8K, Saanichton - carpool leaves at 7:30 a.m.
January 26    Cobble Hill 10K, Cobble Hill - carpool leaves at 8:00 a.m
February 9    Cedar 12K, Cedar (Nanaimo) - carpool leaves 8:30
February 23  Hatley Castle 8K, Colwood (Royal Roads) - carpool leaves at 7:30 a.m.
March 8        Port Alberni Paper Chase 15K, Port Alberni - carpool leaves 8:30 am.
March 22      Comox Valley RV Half Marathon, Courtenay
April 5          Tristars Sooke10K, Sooke - carpool leaves 7:00
April 19        Synergy Hlth Mngement Bazan 5K & Series awds, Sidney - carpool leaves 7:00 am

Register on line at http://www.islandseries.org/  Don't forget to register as a Comox Valley Road Runner or CVRR as each year our club competes against the other Island clubs and you get at least point for running.

CVRR members running the Island Series are eligible for a discount/free membership. To qualify for a discount on your CVRR membership you need to have run in all 8 races the year before OR volunteered at your home club race - confirmation from race director required - and run all 7 others (taken from the results lists). If a person meets the requirements the cost for their single membership due the following year would be 0. If the person has a family membership the membership due the following year would be $10.00. If two people are from the same family both meet requirements and want to renew a family membership the cost would be 0 regardless of the number of family members.
