2020 Nautical Days 4 Miler (Virtual Edition)

This race will not run in its traditional format this year, but will happen in the following form.

Saturday, August 1st to Monday, August 3rd (B.C. Day)    

Race Start: anytime between 12:00am Saturday, August 01 until 11:59 pm Monday, August 03, 2020. You will have this 72 hour window in order to get this event done

Join CVRR for the 49th running of the Nautical Days 4 Mile foot race. This event enjoys the designation of being the oldest, continuously run foot race in B.C. This years event will continue, even though Covid 19 has "moved the goal posts!" To take part you must adhere to all the provincial safety precautions current on race weekend.

You will have 3 days (72 hours)... from 12:01am in the morning, Saturday, August 1st until 11:59pm on Monday, August 3 in order to complete the actual 4 mile race course in delightful Comox B.C. Use your preferred digital route recording (Garmin, Strava, etc.) during your effort and upload/share the URL for us to view your result. The link for this will be in your registration confirmation email. You will have until Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at midnight to submit your activity and become eligible for prizes.

If you are unable to join us on the actual race route you can still run your own 4 mile route of your choice. Stay within the race weekend timelines, upload and share your result.

Race route will be clearly marked for your running pleasure. You are responsible for your own safety! There will be no marshals or race officials of any sort. Abide by all rules of the road and keep those eyes open. Get out there and have some fun!......Note** There will be no water stop offered as seen on the route map**

As per Government Health regulations, the following individuals should NOT attend club activities: • Any person experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 (including fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, headache, or shortness of breath). If these symptoms begin while at a training venue the individual must leave immediately and contact medical assistance for advice on further management. • Any person who receives a diagnosis of COVID-19. • Any person who has been told to self-isolate at home. • Any person who lives in a home or has been in close contact with someone with symptoms of COVID-19. • Any person who lives in a home or has been in close contact with someone who has been told to self-isolate at home. • Any person who has arrived in Canada from outside of the country within the last 14 days as they are mandated to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms for 14 days upon their arrival.
