Hello CVRR runners and well done to all those who raced in Victoria last Sunday- what perfect weather conditions and with several strong performances!
The focus of this session will be on race recovery. It is important to allow the body to rest and repair before we do some harder sessions again. I would not recommend doing a harder workout until at least Friday or Saturday (a Tempo session could work quite well) but above all, always listen to your body first regardless of what your brain may be telling you! Also, this coming weekend is the Miracle Beach 5 & 10 K races (Oct. 15th). Again, exercise caution here especially if you raced the Marathon or Half Marathon last Sunday!

• Easy Warm-up run of 10 minutes
• Dynamics/ stretches @ 5:10 PM
• 30-45 minutes general aerobic recovery run on horse trails. If you did not race last weekend, the specific workout will be a Fartlek run (4-5 x 3 minutes at 5k race pace with 2 minutes recovery jogs/walks between)
• Easy cooldown back to the track
